Human-Robot Collaboration (HRC)

Written by Symestic | Apr 21, 2024 8:24:26 AM

Human-robot collaboration, or HRC for short, refers to systems in which humans and robots work together in the same work area without safety barriers or protective cages. This form of collaboration is often used in assembly and picking tasks.

HRC systems are designed to recognize and respond to the natural movements of humans to ensure safe and efficient interaction. The aim is to utilize the strengths of both actors: the precision and endurance of robots and the cognitive abilities and flexibility of humans. This can significantly increase productivity and work quality in industrial processes.
