Just in Time (JIT)

Written by Symestic | Mar 26, 2024 9:41:25 PM

The just-in-time principle is a management strategy that aims to provide materials, parts and products exactly when they are needed in the production process in order to minimize storage costs and maximize efficiency.

JIT requires precise planning and coordination with suppliers and production processes to avoid overproduction, waste and unnecessary inventory. JIT is often used in lean manufacturing and lean management systems to increase operational efficiency and achieve closer alignment with customer demand.
