PDC stands for production data acquisition. These are systems and procedures for the automatic or manual recording and processing of data that originate directly from a company's production or work process. The aim of PDC is to provide accurate and timely information on the status and performance of production processes, machines, systems and employees. This data includes, for example, working times, machine running times, production quantities, disruptions in the production process and quality data.
The information obtained through PDC enables efficient planning, control and monitoring of operational processes, contributes to cost reduction, improves productivity and supports decision-making at various levels of the company.
