What is Industry 4.0? Industry 4.0 refers to the fourth industrial revolution characterized by the digitization of manufacturing processes and the integration of information and communication technology into production. At its heart are smart and digitally interconnected systems that enable largely self-organized production.

Why Industry 4.0? Industry 4.0 allows companies to increase their production efficiency, reduce production costs, and improve product quality. Networking machines and systems make production processes more flexible, efficient, and customized.

Challenges and Opportunities: Industry 4.0 offers tremendous potential for optimizing production processes but also poses challenges for companies, such as ensuring cyber security and training employees to handle new technologies.
