What is one more OEE point worth?

Frequently asked questions about pricing

Which amount should I put in the budget?

Starter costs $560 per month, Professional from $11,400 per year with 5 assets/workstations, Enterprise from $45,000 per year from 30 assets/workstations. Everything that supplies data is counted: every asset and every workstation. The calculator above shows you the annual amount for Professional with your number of assets and workstations. All prices are net, plus VAT, and are billed annually in advance.

How long does the contract run?

Starter 12 months, Professional 36 months, Enterprise 5 years. The term begins when you sign the plan, not with the Proof of Value. You can cancel with three months' notice before the end of the initial term. Without cancellation, the contract renews automatically for 12 months; alternatively, you agree on a new, longer term. Details are governed by the Terms and Conditions. You can add volume at any time.

How do I get started?

With the Proof of Value: 4 weeks of full use on your real asset or workstation, live in hours, no IT project. If needed, we provide loaner hardware with cellular connectivity. Afterwards, you continue with the subscription or switch to Professional or Enterprise.

What happens after the Proof of Value?

The Proof of Value is not a subscription. Beforehand, we set the success criteria in writing. Afterwards, you can move into a plan: Starter, Professional or Enterprise. The plan's term begins only when you sign.

How do I check internally whether it pays off?

With your own numbers: downtime hours times the cost of one downtime hour, or the value of one OEE point in your production. With the Downtime Cost Calculator you can work out the first part yourself. In the meeting, we go through the calculation with your values.

Why not the ERP module, an in-house build or an on-premises installation?

SYMESTIC runs cloud-native on Microsoft Azure: you use it, we operate it, with no shop floor IT of your own. Machines are connected without PLC intervention; your ERP stays in place and is connected bidirectionally.

Where is our data stored, and how secure is it?

SYMESTIC runs on Microsoft Azure with data stored in the EU, German regions on request. Availability is 99.9%. SYMESTIC is ISO 9001 certified and operates in GDPR compliance. ISO 27001 certification is currently being assessed.

What is included, what costs extra?

All plans include the platform, unlimited users and dashboards, standard connectors, operation in the Azure cloud, automatic updates, and security and GDPR. Enablement and support are defined in hours per plan. On top of that, you can add more assets/workstations, process data and alarms as needed, Workflow packages and the IoT Box as a one-time purchase.

What does a whole plant or multiple sites cost?

Enterprise starts at 30 assets/workstations and from $45,000 per year, with up to 150 assets/workstations across multiple sites. We calculate the amount for your plants in the meeting.

Do I need additional hardware?

Usually not. If a machine has an OPC UA interface, the connection runs through the Cloud Gateway, free software on your own server or computer. The IoT Box as a one-time purchase only comes into play if you want to capture digital signals, don't want to provide a server, or want to connect via cellular. Starter includes loaner hardware.

What if the machine has no usable interface?

Then we connect them via digital signals with the IoT Box DI, without PLC intervention.
