Assets, work orders, quality.
One MES platform.
SYMESTIC connects machines, ERP and shop floor in real time on an MES platform that is identical across all plants. The first asset is connected in under three hours, the first use case within days. Scaling is done by your own team.

How the SYMESTIC cloud MES platform works
In most plants, machine, work order and quality data sit in separate systems, with breaks at every handoff and duplicate maintenance.
SYMESTIC brings them together on a shared data model: connected once, available in every use case and every plant.
Connect: Your existing systems stay in place.
Understand: Every signal gets its context.
Within seconds, every data point is linked to its work order, machine, shift and material.
The basis is the ISA-95 standard from 25 years of MES practice, identical across all plants. KPIs are therefore directly comparable 1:1, without a harmonization project.
Machines, lines, shift models and product definitions are maintained centrally once and are available identically to every use case and every plant. New assets and plants extend the existing model instead of creating new data silos.
Act: Once connected, data is available everywhere.
Three solution areas work on the same platform. Each draws on the same signals, and every future module comes without a new IT project.
Performance, control and quality in one system
One platform, the right view for every role.
Plant management and COO
One source of truth across all plants: comparable KPIs without a harmonization project.
View roleOperational excellence and continuous improvement
Make losses visible and prove improvements measurably, in real time.
View roleProduction and shift management
Reduce downtime and improve on-time delivery, without Excel islands.
View roleMaintenance
Get notified immediately of downtime and alarms, with the most common fault causes per asset in view.
View roleIT
Cloud-native, no server project; older machines connected via IoT Box without PLC intervention.
View roleQuality management
Spot scrap and process deviations early, traceability without manual effort.
View roleThe cloud scales, the plant keeps running even without a connection
The cloud handles scaling, multi-site operation and AI. In the plant, the edge layer secures data capture, even without internet.
AI that already works today. With a roadmap that names dates.
Downtime reason translation
Operators document in their native language, all other roles see the translation.
AI RegEx configuration
Data patterns for device connection from natural language, no RegEx knowledge required.
Shift log summary
Condenses entries to what the next shift needs to know; the audit trail remains unchanged.
Roadmap
Three production-ready AI functions: downtime reason translation, AI RegEx for device configuration, shift log summary.
Read access for AI assistants: MCP server with OEE queries, downtime lists and work order status, compatible with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Connected work orders and traceability: expanding the data foundation for the next AI stage, with work order and material flow and part traceability.
AI actions with approval: anomaly detection with pattern recognition on process data, limited write actions with human-in-the-loop approval.
Read first, then act. A human always decides.
Every AI answer is traceable to the underlying platform data. That is why SYMESTIC starts with controlled read access and only then expands to limited write actions.
A human always makes the decision.
Built for the questions of IT, the CISO and auditors.
Cybersecurity
Azure MSAL authentication, encryption in transit and at rest, regular vulnerability testing. Cybersecurity has been an architectural principle since the 2019 redevelopment.
GMP-regulated environments
In production use.
Data residency
Data stays in the EU; data processing agreement as standard, clearly defined list of subprocessors.
Availability
99.9% platform availability.
Azure regions
German Azure regions on request.

The platform in your industry
What the plant, IT and purchasing want to know before getting started.
Costs, speed, integration and security, answered briefly.
What is a cloud-native MES platform?
An MES built for the cloud from the ground up, not a plant server that was later moved to a data center. SYMESTIC runs on Microsoft Azure; in the plant, the edge layer secures data capture. SYMESTIC handles operations and updates, and you pay a subscription.
What does the SYMESTIC platform cost?
SYMESTIC is a SaaS subscription at a fixed standard price of €70 per asset. The number of users is unlimited; onboarding, Customer Success and updates are included, with no separate maintenance fees. Three plans: Start with one asset, Professional and Enterprise (flat rate per plant).
.How quickly is SYMESTIC in production?
The first asset is connected in under 3 hours, and the first use case (e.g., OEE monitoring) runs within days. After that, your team scales independently to more lines and plants, without a consulting project.
How does SYMESTIC differ from a traditional MES system?
SYMESTIC is developed cloud-native on Microsoft Azure and operated edge-resilient in the plant, not an on-premise system that was later moved to the cloud. Assets are connected in hours instead of months, your team handles scaling instead of one project per plant, and you pay a subscription instead of license plus maintenance.
Can we start with a single line?
Yes, that is the standard path. You start with one asset or line and one use case, see first results after days, and then decide on expansion. Scaling happens only once the benefit is proven: line, then plant, then further plants.
Can SYMESTIC be integrated with SAP and our existing ERP?
Yes, bidirectionally: SAP R/3 via IDoc, InforCOM, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and other ERP systems are connected. Work orders and master data flow into the MES; quantities, times and scrap flow back automatically, without parallel data maintenance. The ERP remains the lead system. Finite scheduling systems (APS) are also integrated bidirectionally.
What happens in an internet outage?
Production keeps running. Cloud Gateway and IoT Box buffer all data locally in the plant and sync automatically, without gaps, as soon as the connection is back. From 2027, the Production Engine adds local process interlocks with standalone operation for up to one production day.
Where is our data stored?
On Microsoft Azure in European data centers, with data staying in the EU. Multi-tenant architecture with strict data separation per customer, data processing agreement as standard. For higher requirements, German Azure regions are available on request.
How does SYMESTIC scale across multiple plants?
With one unified platform across all sites: KPIs are comparable 1:1, without a harmonization project. Your team connects new plants itself. Productive today at more than 100 sites worldwide, with the interface in 14 languages.
Which industries and manufacturing types is SYMESTIC suited for?
For discrete manufacturing (automotive, metal and plastics processing, electronics) and batch manufacturing (food, consumer goods, pharma packaging). The platform is ISO 9001 certified and in productive use in GMP-regulated environments (reference: Klocke Gruppe).
Does SYMESTIC offer its own finite scheduling?
Soon. A finite scheduling add-on is in development. Until then, SYMESTIC connects third-party finite scheduling systems (APS) bidirectionally: planning comes from the APS, work order progress and confirmations flow back from SYMESTIC.
What is symestic AI?
The platform's AI layer. Three functions are in production today: translation of downtime reasons, AI-assisted RegEx configuration for device connection, and summarization of shift logs. From Q4 2026, an MCP server with read access for AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Microsoft 365 Copilot follows.
How is SYMESTIC protected against cyberattacks?
The platform was redeveloped in 2019 with cybersecurity as an architectural principle: sign-in via Azure MSAL, encryption in transit and at rest, regular vulnerability tests, strict data separation per customer. ISO 9001 is certified, ISO 27001 is under review.
